Feasibility Study of the Development of Grand Forest Park in Gunung Wayang, Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia

Gunung Wayang area is located inthe upstream part of the Citarum river basin. Forest preservation in upper watershed very important to maintain its sustainability. However, along with increasing population and demand for land, forest faces threats disturbances from various deforestation activities, such as encroachment, illegal logging, land conversion, which then worsening condition watershed. One initiatives Government Bandung Regency development Grand Park at Wayang. Therefore, this research aimed identify, study, analyze feasibility developing location. The method used was mixed-methods a parallel convergent mixed approach. results study indicate that there were several types plants animals conservation status. will increase many new economic opportunities decrease activities. because nearly 70% people living around are farmers cultivating areas, therefore comprehensive approach needed avoid conflicts related ownership.
